Due to Covid-19 we have now opened our doors for dine-in with 75 percent capacity along with carry out and curb service. We are requiring everyone within the age requirement to wear a face covering into the restaurant until they get to their table and when they leave the building. We are following the NCDHHS (North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services). We appreciate everyones patiences and support during the Coronavirus.
Known by the locals as the “Honeymonk” or “The Monk,” Lexington Barbecue was established in 1962 by Wayne Monk. Since its establishment, the white building on the hill has grown from a small cafe to a nationally known barbecue restaurant.
Our success is due to believing in quality customer service and staying with the true barbecue cooking tradition, meaning cooking with wood, not gas. We only cook pork shoulders and we only cook it over oak or hickory coals. We cook fresh everyday. We believe that true barbecue has different flavors and different cuts.
We would love the chance to serve you. So please come in, sit down, have some tea or Cheerwine, ask questions, and taste what we believe is the world’s best barbecue. Or, simply park your car, roll down your window, and take advantage of our curb service.
